On my recent trip to London I was pleasantly surprised about how much organic skin care there is. Here are my best finds:
1. Neal’s Yard Remedies Wild Rose Beauty Balm
Wild Rose Beauty Balm is a mix of different oils and promises to cleanse, exfoliate, and nourish at the same time depending on how you use it. I bought it just before my flight back to New York and couldn’t wait to try it, from all the travelling and too little sleep my face felt horrible: it was dry and full of break-outs. So I applied it during the flight and my face felt soft and moisturized even after eight hours of flying. The balm comes with a muslin cloth to use for the oil cleansing method. Following the three-step system just before going to bed helps cleaning out your pores and softening and tighten your skin. With $70 (37 Pounds if you are in the UK) it is on the pricey side, but definitely worth it!
2. Dr. Organics Olive Oil Shampoo
It’s not easy to find an organic shampoo that also works. Most of the time it doesn’t really foam or it is tough to wash it out again.

3. Penhaligon’s Blenheim Bouquet Shower Gel
Ok, this is not proven organic but sometimes I just have to make an exception and the ingredients are hand-selected, so they say. I love this shower gel so much and its scent gives you the cleanest most relaxed spa feeling you can think of. It reminds me of this amazing hotel Schloss Elmau in Southern Germany, one of my favorite spots on earth and definitely the best spa I’ve been to so far.
